Just as we feared, Yahoo has already begun deleting blogs and tampering with Tumblr’s integrity.
They are deleting accounts for sharing photos of animal cruelty as if the accounts sharing them are encouraging or promoting animal abuse.
It’s now apparently Tumblr policy to shut down accounts with zero notice.

Humans do not need animal products in modern society, I’ll concede that; at least, most of us don’t. Nor do we need animal skin products, but lemme break this down for you.

The average American is a glutton for convenience. Sure, you can get your protein from other sources, and in fact, protein is more common in leafy green vegetables and beans than most meats,

but the problem with that is that MEAT IS FUCKING DELICIOUS
taste isn’t a valid argument, if it were, we’d all be eating mcHuman burgers by now because human meat is fucking delicious and much more sustainable to farm for largescale consumption.
if the pleasure the oppressive group is gaining from the oppression of others were a valid argument, every atrocity could be justified. think genocides or mass-rapes, anything goes.
and on top of that, meat is a HUGE INDUSTRY in the United States that is SUBSIDIZED which allows farmers to grow other crops, and those subsidies, which keep food production inside our borders instead of outsourced like our clothes and electronics, meaning that revenue is generated internally and there are more jobs to go around
Animal skin products are a luxury item, but in many areas of the country, pretty damn useful for the local economies,
so oppression, explotation and murder are fine if they’re beneficial to the economy? who needs the 13th amendment to the us constitution then?
and an art that’s been passed down from generation to generation, and in many cases, a part of indigenous culture
neither of which would be tolerated if humans were the victims. there is a word for that, can you guess it?
Not to mention, like I said, in the case of snakeskin, the snake meat is usually eaten, so the animal is not going to waste, and I’m pretty sure most dairy

I’ll concede most vegan arguments (unless you ignore individuals with disabilities or dietary needs), but you can’t ignore the economic reasons why it’s not going away any time soon. You can not use these things or agree with them as much as you’d like, but the second you start talking about how “evil” it is while ignoring real world ramifications and reasons for its existence, well, you’ve put yourself in the “narrow minded dunce” category.
who does that though? as far as i am concerned the inner workings of the status quo are laid out in surgical detail by liberation theory of many kinds for everyone to look at and learn from, all we need is a unified concept and people willing to stop being shitty fuckbags.
